This edition of Figure it Out 3 has been completely revised to take account of the objectives as set out in the Revised Mathematics Primary School Curriculum. The programme is fully covered, including new topics and approaches.
In line with the recommendations of the Primary Curriculum Support Programme, Active Learning is encouraged throughout. Consequently, the more difficult written work is preceded by mental mathematical activities, where appropriate, to facilitate greater conceptual understanding.
Emphasis is placed on number work throughout the book, while special attention is given to problem-solving - an area highlighted in the Revised Curriculum.
